Bharat Ganita Parisad, Department of Mathematics and Astronomy, University of Lucknow, Lucknow is a non-profit organization committed to the advancement of research the areas of Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Astronomy etc. It is publishing a journal GANITA (ISSN: 0046-5402) biannually since 1950 which provides an individual, an ideal opportunity to accomplish their thoughts and valuable ideas to be published in the form of a research paper. The journal has now been made online.

It is a matter of great pride that GANITA has been recognized by UGC and it has been included (at Journal No. 17922) in the list of journals consisting of almost 38000 journals approved for the purpose of Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) and Direct Recruitment of Teachers and other academic staff as required under the UGC (Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges). GANITA is also included in MathSciNet. The papers published (since 2017) in the journal are reviewed by Mathematical Reviews.
